YAY! Deliciously Ella: Seriously Delicious!

Earlier this week we ordered some Deliciously Ella vegan chocolate products as we are thinking of including them in our vegan chocolate letterbox hampers. If you haven't heard of Deliciously Ella or haven't tried any of their various product ranges, we would definitely recommend giving them a shot and you can find a variety of their vegan-friendly products in Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Tesco amongst others.

If you head over to their website they also have some recipes, cookbooks and they even have an app you can download!

We decided to order the double chocolate caramel cups as they had some good reviews online and we thought they would fit in nicely to our letterbox hampers. Actually getting our hands on some was quite tricky (writing this in the midst of the coronavirus lockdown) and almost all of the vegan websites are crashing due to insane demand! We ended up buying a pack of 20!

First impression from the packaging was great! We're a little bit fussy about packaging and it's great that these are made from paper and seem to be completely recyclable. Inside, the cups are in paper cases and supported on a card slip. Deliciously Ella are one of the growing number of vegan chocolate companies that are removing all plastic from their packaging, which is great!

Inside this excellent packaging are 2 fairly teensy caramel cups. The size was quite surprising at first, but it's all about the taste! The vegan chocolate top is rich and creamy and is surrounded by a crumbly, shortbread-esque outer layer. This oaty cup houses the gooey, caramel centre and cacao ganache, which really bring the whole thing together, giving a rich, indulgent and creamy taste. They are absolutely delicious, although easily devoured in 2 bites.

These double chocolate caramel cups are dairy free and also gluten free, making them a great choice for sensitive tummies. The ingredients are as follows:

Date Syrup, Gluten Free Oats (26%), Coconut Oil, Dark Chocolate (11% (Cacao Nibs, Coconut Sugar, Cacao Butter)), Coconut Sugar, Cacao Powder (6%), Roasted Almond Butter, Maple Syrup, Salt.

Nutritional Values (per 36g pack):

Energy: 679KJ (162Kcal)

Fat: 8.4g

of which saturates: 5.5g

Carbs: 18.1g

of which sugars 10.9g

Fibre: 1.8g

Protein: 2.6g

Salt: 0.14g

All in all, these are an excellent option for a mid-morning or afternoon snack. The caramel is on point and doesn't have a taste of dates, which can sometimes be the case with gooey, vegan chocolate. The only issue we had was with the size, as we could easily eat 10 packs of them and they are a tad on the calorific side.

Head over to to try some for yourself!
